When I’m not working, I love exploring Atlanta by trying new restaurants, hiking local trails or taking my golden retriever puppy to Piedmont Park or the Beltline. Originally from Texas, I’m always on the hunt for a good taco, BBQ joint or sports bar to watch the Longhorns during football season (hook ‘em!). Besides that, I love crafting, sewing and decorating.

For Stag & Hen, I do it all! From handling the finances to managing our website and marketing campaigns, I’m a one-gal-operation. I spend most of my time on our marketing efforts – writing blog posts, managing our social media accounts and building partnerships with relevant bloggers and social media influencers.

Tell us a little bit about what your day-to-day looks like with your current job.

Since I just started Stag & Hen, I still work full-time as a Field Marketing Manager for Alert Logic, a cloud security company. In this role, I support our sales team by dreaming up creative marketing campaigns, organizing events and coordinating our Cloud Security Summit roadshow. My day usually consists of a few meetings, checking on campaign progress and working with venues on event details. Once my day has wrapped up, I then spend the rest of my time working on Stag & Hen.

2. Sounds like you’re super passionate about a little project outside of your full time job. We want to hear all about it!

I am! I recently launched Stag & Hen, an online, one-stop-shop for pretty bachelorette party decorations, favors and inspiration. I came up with the idea after planning my best friend’s bachelorette party. I was really surprised at the lack of cute – and tasteful – bachelorette party decorations, so after some market research, decided to go for it! It’s been so much fun and I’m very excited to see where we go from here.

3. How has your time at Roam inspired you to launch Stag and Hen?

From the moment I walked in the door at Roam, I knew I had a community I could lean on. Since I work remotely, having that sense of community and feeling of support is a huge asset. I’m looking forward to networking with more Roam members and learning from those who have been in my shoes!

4. If you could share one piece of advice that you have learned from your experience, what would it be?

Don’t be afraid to go for it! I know it sounds cheesy, but after I had the idea for Stag and Hen, I spent about six months thinking and talking about it, rather than taking action to make my dream actually come to life. I heard a quote once that I love: “The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers, but above all the world needs dreamers who do.” The hardest part is taking the first steps to get started, but once you do, it’s so rewarding seeing your dream become a reality.

5. Just for fun – describe your perfect Saturday in Atlanta.

My perfect Saturday would start with sleeping in then going for a walk around my neighborhood with my boyfriend and our golden retriever puppy, Mabel. Next stop would be brunch at Buttermilk Kitchen without a wait (hey, a girl can dream, right?!) followed by afternoon drinks at Ladybird or Monday Night Brewing. I’d then head to JCT Kitchen for dinner and wrap up the night with a glass of wine on a rooftop patio![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
