Purpose of the role

We exist to renew and inspire the way the world does business, and revenue fuels our ability to accomplish that mission. The purpose of the Finance + Accounting Manager is to provide financial support and guidance to leaders at all Roam workplaces, equipping them with valuable data to make informed decisions and achieve winning P+L results.

The Finance + Accounting Manager works alongside the Director of Finance to support all Roam workplaces with their accounting, finance, and fiscal goals. He/She will partner directly with the Managing Partners at all Roam workplace to ensure all accounting and financial documents are accurate and up-to-date with daily and monthly rhythms. The Finance + Accounting Manager will perform financial analysis, oversee bookkeeping, provide financial leadership and recommendations, and partner with the Director of Finance to craft and execute fiscal priorities.


Daily Responsibilities

  • Company Payroll
  • Prepare timely bill payments for company expenses
  • Provide accounting assistance and oversight to each Roam location
  • Ensure revenue and expense entries are recorded in accounting software on a daily basis
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable accounts for each Roam location


Monthly Responsibilities

  • Manage and run bi-monthly payroll for company
  • Calculate monthly commissions and bonuses for company
  • Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules for depreciation
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable accounts for each location
  • Initiate and record inter-company transfers
  • Oversee and contribute to month-end close procedures including: account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, sales tax filings, and general ledger review

Requirements + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 3+ Years proven accounting experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player; ability to collaborate and work well with a team
  • Knowledge of payroll, garnishments, and benefits distribution
  • Effective multitasker
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • CPA preferred (but not required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of detailed financial statements
  • Proven payroll experience, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
